Inspection

There are many different types of inspections and tools available. 

• Acoustical sounding
  A percussion hammer is used used in a repeating pattern to confirm uniformity in the laminate.
• Moisture
  A moister meter is used to evaluate the levels of moisture or water ingress.
• Spectrochemical analysis
  An oil sample may be sent to an independent laboratory for this type of testing and report
• Ultrasonics
  A thickness type of test instrument using ultrasonic waves.  Often used with metal vessels but can be used with composites.
• Thermography
  A type of camera system that uses the infrared spectrum.
• Hardness
  This is a system that measures using a Barcol impresser.  The measurement is used as a degree of resin cure.
